You may recall that we’ve mentioned before how as florists in NYC, everyone at Starbright is thrilled that Greenery is the 2017 Pantone Color of the Year — and March brings us even more reasons to celebrate with this revitalizing hue.
To keep up with the passing seasons, Starbright has dedicated a section of our website to March flowers, which have been carefully selected for their vibrancy as winter gives way to spring. Of course, Saint Patrick’s Day and Greenery were on our minds when we curated both that and our Emerald Isle collections — we’re excited to share with you some of that Irish inspiration!
Saint Patrick’s Day, which has been celebrated since the 1600’s in honor of Christianity making its way to Ireland, has been marked by being a feast day — and it is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the heritage and culture of the Irish, here in New York City.
There are endless ways that you can incorporate Greenery into your celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day in Manhattan. From flowers to centerpieces, bow ties to green-tinged milkshakes, we’re delighted to share with you some ways that we’ll be celebrating Saint Patrick’s Day at Starbright!
Starbright’s Highlander in NYC is awash in a sea of Greenery, and we wouldn’t want it any other way. By using a palette of dense Greenery in varying floral textures, the creative minds behind Starbright’s Highlander masterpiece added just enough variation to make this composition endlessly alluring.
There is perhaps nothing that evokes the beauty of Ireland more than clover. To honor that whimsical, leafy flower, our brilliant artisanal florists used lush, dense hydrangea to evoke the sense of being surrounded by clover in our beloved Highlander composition. The subtle orchids placed amid the bouquet allows for a surprise of color, that we think enhances just how striking Greenery is as a hue.
But the luck of the Irish has to be celebrated in more than one way in New York City! Starbright’s Blooming Meadows evoke the stunning Irish countryside, awash in flowers and perhaps even some mystical fairies tucked between the leaves. Even hints of Greenery make their way into this delightful bouquet; the delicate roses set off the fuschia-tinged hydrangea, while the crystal vases brings to mind the rushing rivers in Ireland.
Of course, there is perhaps nothing as invigorating as luscious Greenery paired with crisp whites. Starbright’s florists decided that pairing sumptuous alabaster roses with spritely pepper grass in a range of Greenery hues would make our Morning Dew a darling composition that revisits the wonder of the Irish countryside. Hurry NYC! Starbright’s Flower Power – Happy Hour is here. In celebration of our recent move and as a way of introducing ourselves to our new neighbors, Starbright is giving walk in customers the deal of the summer. Every Thursday between four and eight everything in the store is 50% off. Some of Starbright’s creations that are only known to those who’ve visited us can be had at for a dance.
The event was not limited to fun seekers but all had fun. Starbright’s arrangements added to the already incredible atmosphere of Grand Central Terminal’s iconic Vanderbilt Hall. Net proceeds from the event benefited the Grand Central Neighborhood Social Services Corporation.
